main-slide-4

In May, IFCOM participated in the Pacific Alliance Trade Facilitation Workshop held in Mexico City. The topics addressed in the workshop included tools for trade facilitation as well as the progress made in the interoperability of the single window (“VUCE”) and the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). The executive director of IFCOM, Eduardo Garcia-Godos, discussed the challenges in the transparency of trade-related regulations, “VUCE” and logistics, Port Communities, and coordination among border agencies. Efforts have been made to revive and boost trade among members and collectively work towards Southeast Asia markets.

The word "facilitate" means making simpler or more simple, and this is precisely the objective of trade facilitation - making processes and procedures of international trade as simple and efficient as possible for traders, authorities and governments.
