On May 20th and 21st, the Pacific Alliance-MERCOSUR Trade Facilitation Expert Workshop was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. IFCOM's Executive Director, Eduardo García-Godos, participated in it. Mercosur country members shared an interesting vision of the implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and the role of Trade Facilitation Committees. Both trading blocs urged to expand and refine AEO programs. Risk management and coordination in border management remain a complex area to confront.
