
On June 16 – 17 of this year, it was held in Cochambamba, Bolivia, the national Forum on Trade Logistics, which subject was “trade Facilitation and Logistics Services Facilitación Comercial y Servicios Logistics for Foreign Trade”.
This event is part of an initiative of the Bolivian government, sponsored by the Inter American Development Bank, aimed at discussing proposals and actions that help to improve trade logistics considering the challenges face by the latin American region. The forum get together participants from the public sector, logistic services suppliers and importers and exporters from Bolivia.
Foreign experiences on logistics websites and Single Window platforms, were presented, such as those from Colombia, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Spain. Moreover, the company CrimsonLogic, commented the status of the Single Window Project in Bolivia.
IFCOM was invited by the IADB to discuss some experiences in trade facilitation in the region, and to provide information as to the main regulations embraced in the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement. Afterwards, in a panel set to address logistics observatories, it was discussed the features of Callao On Line website, such panel was also shared with Lic. Marvin Salas, manager of the trade Single Window of Costa Rica.
