
The 24th Logistics and Supply Chain Meeting organized annually by the National Business Association of Colombia – ANDI, took place in Cali, Colombia.
The event was focused on the current logistics and trade facilitation challenges in the Pacific Alliance, which included perspectives from the public sector and private operators in the region to achieve greater competitiveness in these areas. The agenda was broken down in four major blocks; gap analysis in logistics and trade facilitation, maritime and air transportation competitiveness and supply chain management.
The participations included outstanding presentations of CAF, customs authorities from Peru and Colombia, representatives of the Port Communities, ports of Colombia and Chile, on the private side stood out PSA of Singapore and multinationals such as Bayer, DHL, InBev, Colgate
IFCOM served as moderator in the session of Trade Facilitation in the Pacific Alliance which gathered the top officials of Colombian and Perú Customs authorities, the Regional Manager of Foreign Trade of Bayer company and the CEO of Colombian Calzatodo. Pillars of the discussion were the benefits of the AEO mutual recognition agreement in the Pacific Alliance, border agencies coordination and import and export measurement of performance.
